Master key systems
Halls specialise in the design, build and maintenance of master keyed systems. Master keyed systems purchased form Halls Locksmiths are computer designed and assembled in our workshop. This ensures a fast local service for the supply of additional keys or locks without the usual lengthy delays from the manufacturer.
In this diagram the top key is called the “Grand Master key” the next two keys are called “Master keys” the next line of keys are called “Sub Master keys” and the bottom line of keys are called “User keys” or “Servant keys".
As you can see the Grand Master fits all locks the Master a range of locks the Subs a further range, all the way to the Servant which only fits one lock.
We build and maintain systems from many manufactures including Assa, Abloy, Yale, Union, Abus, Grundman and Iseo.
Our systems can be "key restricted" ensuring that no one with out the correct authorisation can obtain duplicate keys.
All the above master key suiting can be easily achieved using electronic reading devices such as, Mag-stripe for cards, Proximity readers for fobs and cards, Radio receivers for mini transmitters etc. They can also be "networked" to a single control point for greater monitoring of either the doors or staff access.
